Our Vehicle Motion Detector is a simple to use vehicle motion detection system that operates on the principle that any moving ferrous metal object will distort the Earth's magnetic field to some degree. The technology used to measure this distortion is one of the most reliable forms of outdoor detection available. The Vehicle Motion Detector will only sense moving iron or steel and will not be set off by people, animals, wind, etc. The sensor is best located next to the vehicle path or buried underground.
