WHAT ARE RFID TAGS?

RFID (or radio-frequency identification) tags are stickers or fobs that store a unique electronic “fingerprint.”  The RFID Wiz can record this fingerprint and recognize it if it sees it again.  There are a few different “flavors” of RFID tags.  The RFID Wiz works with any 13.56Mhz tag, which is the most readily available and commonly used type of tag.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The RFID Wiz makes training RFID tags as easy as pushing a button. 

To Train a Tag:

1. Hold your target tag against the flat side of the red RFID reader board.

2. Press the “Learn” button once (you’ll hear the relay click) and release.

3. The RFID Wiz can store up to *6* RFID tags.

To Read a Trained Tag:

1. Hold the trained tag in front of the red RFID reader board. The relay will click and the relay LED will light up.

To Clear All Learned Tags:

1. Press the “Learn” button five (5) times in a row. 

2. The status LED will flash red three times. The tag memory is now erased.

TOGGLE MODE

Toggle mode will let you trigger the RFID Wiz on with one swipe, and off with another. This is useful for turning on and off lights, fans, etc. 

To Enter/Exit TOGGLE MODE:

1. Press the learn button three (3) times in a row. The status LED will flash orange.

2. To go back to NORMAL mode, simply press 3 times again. The LED will flash green.
