Warning, do not use regular PVC pipe and fittings from the hardware store to run compressed air through. PVC pipe is brittle and becomes even more so when used with compressed air and will eventually blow out – especially if bumped into. When PVC piping explodes, plastic shrapnel pieces are thrown in all directions.
If you have a permanent (or even semi-permanent) location then it makes sense to have several big compressors feeding compressed air into pipes that carry a large volume of air to different major prop locations. Traditionally this has been done using metal piping (such as copper or black iron). There are now newer materials that can handle compressed air such as “thermoplastic” pipe which is safe and less expensive. Check with a local plumbing or HVAC distributor for more info. But make sure you do not use that white stuff from the hardware store!
