When a PicoBoo is activated it is sometimes required that there be a delay before the outputs start to activate. This is called a "pre delay".
Similarly, after the program is done playing it is sometimes required to wait a while before the PicoBoo can be activated again. This is called a "post delay".
These are easily accomplished with the PicoBoo controller. Simply record "nothing" before and/or after. For example...
1) Press REC 2) Wait 10 seconds (or any amount of time you'd like). This is your pre delay * 3) Press 1 and 2 a few times (any way you want to activate outputs 1 and 2 to control your scene) 4) Wait 20 seconds (or any amount of time you'd like). This is your post delay. 5) Press REC to save changes
Note that if you are using a scare sound that sound will start to play right when the PicoBoo is activated. In order to pre delay the sound you will need to record silence before the sound starts. You can start the PicoBoo audio recording sequence then wait the pre delay amount of time (say 10 seconds) before pressing play on your audio source. Or record 10 seconds of silence into your audio track and record the entire thing into the PicoBoo
If you are using Director you can use that to set the pre or post delay on compatible controllers (BooBox Flex, BooBox FlexMax and PicoBoo MP3). Go to Settings > Scene Settings and then look for the Pre and Post Delay boxes. Check the box and then enter the desired amount of time for your delay.
